KMP-1000 Microhone Processor Description

The KMP1000 is a High End Professional  Microphone Processor performing Analog Microphone Pre-Amplification and Analog Compression and Digital Microphone modeling based on DSP processing.The  KMP1000 is a powerful microphone processor, allowing to improve the microphone output quality before to send it as “ audio level”to following audio processing units,  and to apply to the used microphone,  different acoustic “ models”coming from Digital DSP Processesable to emulate different types of microphones' behaviours.

Microphone Pre- Amplifier sectionA High End Pre-amplification is provided by the KMP1000 for the Microphone input signal, with Phantom powering available for condenser microphones.An analog Hp filter,  settable from 50Hz up to 175Hz (or not active),is also available on the microphone Input path,  allowing to reduce the Low frequency “breath bump”coming with the speaker close to the microphone capsule.A -20dB attenuation is availble for a quick input level reduction on the microphone Input signalpath.

Compressor SectionIn order to improve the dynamic performances of the pre-amplified microphone Input Signal,the Pre-Amp section is followed by an analog Compressor section.The analog compressor can be adjusted as Attak Time,R elease Time, Threshold and Ratio.The output signal coming from the compression process,  can be also adjusted as level,fr om-10dB up to +10dB.The Input Level, Output level and compression acitivy can be selected for being displayed on a precision analog Meter on the  KMP1000 front panel.
